From the Editor: The Golden Days of Autumn

After a pleasantly long summer, the winds have finally cooled, leaves crunch beneath our feet, and the city is once again adorned in sheets of red and gold. Autumn in Australia generates increasing tourism each year; particularly now, as Chinese people become the most welcomed guests at the centre of our mainstream society.

China’s leading e-commerce giant officially opens in Melbourne, hoping to seal the gap between Asia and Oceania; a glamorous red carpet unrolls at The Star Sydney, welcoming China’s top movie stars for the International Chinese Film Festival Awards Ceremony; and Chinese supermodel Lü Yan launches her own label at Sydney’s Parlour X boutique fashion store. This year’s biggest fashion festival across Australia (VMAFF) is also tailored to suit the tastes of Chinese people, revealing a contemporary Australian society that has adapted around its ever-growing Chinese population.

Vision's editorial team explores fashion and lifestyle trends in depth. We extract the most traditional culture therein, and deliver this to our Australian and Chinese readers with sincerity. We serve as an eye-opener into mainstream culture and simultaneously offer a bridge between our two readership bases, using quality bilingual content.

Tourism is always the most visually appealing section of this magazine. Here, you can travel from the midst of China’s winter, where plum blossoms persevere triumphantly through the cold; to the geothermal wonderland of New Zealand, a unique terrace that captivates beauty beyond imagination; and along the shores of Australia, abundant in dolphins, in which a beach stroll becomes a walk in the desert dunes…

Meanwhile, world famous conductor Riccardo Muti tours Sydney and Melbourne with the Australian music dream, AWO; and the new Sofitel Darling Harbour opens its doors to ever-growing Chinese tourism while preserving precious memories of historic Australia.

The golden days of autumn will only last so long. In this latest issue of Vision, be inspired to seek, explore and learn in new adventures. Vision will continue to integrate into every beat of the rapidly evolving social rhythm.
